Did you miss the BlogHer conference in San Francisco? Yeah, me too. You can check out the live blogs--transcripts and notes from the break out sessions--at BlogHer.com.
Do take a look at the entire list of live blogs, but here are three of my favorites:
- Blog Law and Incorporation Resources: This is a great place to start learning about the laws that are out there to protect your writing, trademarks, and blog art. Nicely bulleted for easy digestion, with links to further reading.
- Building Traffic via Content and Community: Extensive information presented by Simply Recipes blogger Elise Bauer. How often should you post? Why is community building so important? How can you help people find your blog? And more.
- There's more to Monetization than Advertising: Big-time bloggers answer the question, "How can I make money from my blog?" How to join an ad network, how to get advertisers on your own, affiliate marketing, and more. This is a great read for those just beginning to explore the idea of making money blogging.
You can also attend a BlogHer Reach Out Conference in six states this fall: Boston, DC, Nashville, Greensboro, Atlanta and New Orleans. These one-day events will run you $100.
