Tools: Add "Twit This" to Your Posts

Twitter can be a great promotional tool for your blog. Sure, you can set up Twitterfeed to auto-post links to your newest articles, but what about potential readers who don't follow you? Why not enable your readers to Twit their favorite articles from your site with just one click?

One way to do this is through FeedBurner's Feed Flares:

For some reason, FeedBurner hasn't added it Twit This their default list of Feed Flares (those little links you see at the bottom of posts. No problem. Adding Twit This to your FeedFlares is simple. Go to your Feedburner account and navigate to Optimize --> FeedFlare.

Copy this link (right click with your mouse) and paste it into the "add new Flare" box:

Indicate whether you want "Twit this" to appear in your feed posts and/or on your site by checking the appropriate boxes. Make sure you click "Save" at the bottom of the page when you're done. That's all there is to it.

When your readers click on "Twit This," they'll be taken to a screen where they'll enter their Twitter username and password, then have the opportunity to tweak the wording of their Twit. Here's an example from Baby Cheapskate:
