I always accept the invitation because it is an opportunity for me to reach other readers. My blog has a specific purpose, raise cancer awareness and share my battle experience. The more people I can reach the better so I am always willing to write guest posts. I would agree that it is best to stick with subject matter that reflects your blog if you are interested in traffic back to your blog. I have used writing elsewhere to post things that don't fit into my blog. I've written some for BD and guest posted for a few other sites. I haven't seen a jump in hits but I think that sharing what I have to say with a bigger audience is just as important as getting more hits (for me right now anyway). <BR/><BR/>Also, when I read a BD article or guest post on a site I regularly visit I link over to the author's site and find a post to comment on so she receives some feed back and more hits.
